Boy George has called out Eminem for using the word "fag" on his latest track 'Rap God'.

'Rap God', which the rapper unveiled earlier this week (October 15), includes a variety of lyrics that could be construed as homophobic. "I'll still be able to break a motherfuckin' table over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half," Eminem raps on the first verse, while the second verse includes the line: "You fags are all the same."

Later in the second verse, Eminem raps: "Little gay looking boy/So gay I can barely say it with a straight face looking boy/You witnessing a massacre/Like you watching a church gathering take place looking boy/Oy vey, that boy's gay, that's all they say looking boy."

After tweeting a link to a news story criticising the single's lyrics, Boy George addressed Eminem directly on Twitter on Thursday (October 17).

The former Culture Club singer added soon afterwards: "Isn't it sad how the media just accepts abuse of gay people? #fucked"

'Rap God' is the third track Eminem has unveiled from his forthcoming album 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' after 'Survival' and the hit single 'Berzerk'. The album, set for release on November 5, is conceived as a sequel to the rapper's classic 2000 record 'The Marshall Mathers LP'. Rapper Kendrick Lamar, singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, Rihanna and Nate Ruess, best known as the lead singer of the band Fun., are all set to appear on 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' with Rihanna guesting on a track called 'Monster'.

'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' tracklisting in full:

'Bad Guy'
'Parking Lot' (skit)
