The new collaboration between Eminem and Rihanna has premiered online – scroll down to listen.

Available as a single now, 'The Monster' is taken from Eminem's forthcoming album 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2', which is also set to feature guest appearances from rapper Kendrick Lamar, singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, Rihanna and Nate Ruess, best known as the lead singer of the band Fun..

The lyrics find Eminem talking about "going kooky as Kool Keith". Rihanna delivers the song's chorus, which begins with the line, "I'm friends with the monster that's under the bed".

The song was recorded in September, when Rihanna tweeted about recording a "monster hook" but did not reveal that it was a collaboration with Eminem. The September 12 tweet read: "Recored a #monster hook for one of my favourite artists! And that's all I can give you…" The pair previously worked together on the song 'Love The Way You Lie', which appeared on Eminem's 2010 album 'Recovery'.

'Eminem' will release 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2', a follow-up to his hit album of 2000, on November 5. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the rapper said he had to make sure he had to make sure he had material that was worthy enough of a sequel: "Calling it 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2', obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations. I wouldn't want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs – and just when you think you got it, you listen and you're like, 'Fuck, man! I feel like it needs this or that,' to paint the whole picture."

The full 'Marshall Mathers LP 2' tracklisting is as follows:

'Bad Guy'
