Eminem and Rihanna are joining forces to tour together.

The pair recently collaborated on single 'The Monster', taken from the rapper's eighth album 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2', and have decided to take the partnership a step further, announcing three shows this summer.

At present they are due to play New York, Los Angeles and Mathers' hometown Detroit in August, but as Eminem told XXL Magazine, there is no news on specific dates or venues. It's also not known whether they take the tour to a wider audience.

The duo first teamed up on the 2010 song 'Love The Way You Lie' before reuniting for 'The Monster', which was released last October as the fourth single from Eminem's latest album. In a Rolling Stone interview last year, Eminem said the new collaboration was "not necessarily a sequel, as much as it is a revisitation" of their past work together. "To me, it's more about the vice, and it's more about the nostalgia," he added.

The video for 'The Monster' featured Rihanna playing the rapper's therapist, forcing him to face his demons by making him watch a DVD called 'The Eminem Show', which shed light on his struggles with violence, family and addiction.

Eminem is currently touring Australia with Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, while the most recent news of Rihanna, who turned 26 this month, regarded her money troubles and her former accountant who left her "effectively bankrupt" in 2009.
