Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds has said that the band won't begin writing the follow-up 'A Flash Flood Of Colour' until early 2013.

The St Albans quartet have just wrapped up their largest UK tour to date and are currently touring North America before head back to Europe for a series of festival shows.

Speaking to NME, Reynolds said that while he was also working on new material for the band and various side projects, he didn't think the band would resume work on new material until early next year.

Asked about the band's plans for new material, he said: "I'm always writing something, whether it's Shikari or side projects or something for fun. We won't really start thinking about new material until we get off tour early next year."

The singer also said that the band were really looking forward to their festival appearances, which include slots at Isle Of Wight Festival, T In The Park and Reading And Leeds Festivals, where the band are fourth on the Main Stage.

Speaking about this, Reynolds said: "I can't wait. The last two summers we've spent doing Warped Tour so we're looking to hit the European festival circuit hard this time. It takes the pressure off as it's not your own show, so we just get to have fun. We've been doing festivals for ages and we've really crawled up the bills. When we first started out playing somewhere like Reading was a pipe dream, so to be anywhere near the Main Stage is amazing."

Enter Shikari released their third studio album 'A Flash Flood Of Colour' in January.
