Enter Shikari headlined a one-off show at The 100 Club in central last night (January 22), which saw them strip back the high production values of their touring show to offer something more intimate.?

The 350-capacity space was packed from corner to corner, with people still queuing outside right up until moments before the band came on stage. Playing a 90-minute long set to the swelteringly hot room, the band ran through a setlist that included tracks from all three of their albums, including 'Return To Energiser', 'Ok Time For Plan B' and 'Gandhi Mate Gandhi'.

After a 10-minute warm up tape that took the crowd through the history of dance music from rave to Redlight's 'What You Talking About?', singer Rou Reynolds addressed the crowd, telling them, "We're about to embark on a journey... of tinnitus, shin-splints and hip replacements."

Before, he had descended into the heaving mosh pit, only to return triumphantly to the stage claiming, "It didn't even hurt! I've been doing yoga!"?

During 'Hello Tyrannosaurs,' Reynolds scaled the back wall of the venue, and delivered the lyrics balanced between the sound desk, a fire escape sign and one of the room's over-stretched air-conditioning units.

To make up for the lack of their usual laser light show, drummer Rob Rolfe teased the crowd saying he'd found something to make up for the lack of space, before hanging a triangular bicycle reflector light from a cable at the back of the tiny stage.

The 100 Club is one of central London's most intimate and famous venues, but was threatened with closure in 2010 due to continued losses. However, after a successful campaign supported by musicians including Sir Paul McCartney, The 100 Club entered into a partnership with Converse in 2011, which allowed it to remain open.
