Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds has described the band's next album as being "fearless".

The lead singer is currently working on the follow up to the group's 2012 album 'A Flash Flood Of Colour' with his bandmates, with the bulk of recording having taken place in May at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire.

Speaking in the new issue of NME, which is in stores and available digitally now, Reynolds says that it "feels like we've got a little bit more confidence, and we're a bit more aware of various other influences".

Commenting on the overall sound of the new songs, Reynolds says: "I don't think I could ever write anything that doesn't have an element of anger to it but there's also a delicacy that goes through the new songs. Saying that, it's definitely some of the most raucous stuff we've ever written."

Reynolds confirms that the band have recorded 11 new songs for the album, which they hope to release in early 2015. Track titles include 'Beauty' and 'Math' plus an untitled song confirmed as an unofficial sequel to 2012 track 'Arguing With Thermometers'.

"There are a lot of longer songs that would never be considered singles, songs that evolve over a period of time and go through very different moods," he continues. "I've tried to push myself vocally, to use a wider range than I have before in terms of melody and other sounds one can emit from one's vocal chords."

Enter Shikari play a one-off gig at Hatfield Forum, Hertfordshire on June 26. The gig will take place shortly before the band head off on tours of Russia and the USA. They will then return to the UK in August to play Reading and Leeds Festivals.
