ERICK SERMON WINDOW JUMP TREATED AS ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
Rapper ERICK SERMON sustained serious injuries after jumping from a third floor window and NOT from a car accident as previously reported, it has emerged.

Earlier this week, his spokesperson originally said the hotly-tipped artist had been injured while he travelled home from a video shoot - but now it seems he threw himself from a window, and the police are now treating it as attempted suicide.

According to US reports this morning (October 3), New Jersey police say the rapper actually fell from a three storey building at the house of a woman friend he was visiting.

The case is being investigated as attempted suicide after police received a call on September 25. However, officers are still unable to interview Sermon, who's still very ill with head and facial injuries.

The incident was reported to the police on September 25 by an unidentified female of whom Sermon had been visiting at her apartment. She left briefly, returning to find him gone and the window open. On looking out the window she discovered
Sermon lying on his back in a parking lot, bleeding from the head.

However, last week Sermon's label seemed unaware of the full story. Speaking to Associated Press at the time, Biff Warren, Sermon's PR at J Records, said Sermon was heading home after finishing a video shoot in upstate New York when he fell asleep at the wheel and ran into a wall.

Sermon, 32, is currently said to be in 'fair' condition. His debut album for J Records is due to be released next month.
