Eric Clapton recovering from gall stones operation
Guitarist pulled out of New York concert for procedure
The guitarist was forced to cancel a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame gig at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday (October 23) to have the operation, with his publicist telling BBC News that he is now recovering.
Clapton was replaced at the gig by Jeff Beck, with whom he is scheduled to play shows at the London O2 Arena in February.
