DOIN' THE BADU

The soul superstar hits the road...

ERYKAH BADU, the partial inspiration behind OUTKAST's forthcoming single 'MS JACKSON', has announced a US tour.

The Outkast record is a heartfelt open letter to Erykah's mother, apologising for breaking her daughter's heart when he left her.

The couple have a three-year-old son together, Seven, and her last album, 'Mama's Gun', which was released through Universal in the UK and Motown in the US, dealt with the breakdown of their relationship.

Now the soul superstar is hitting the road in the US, and it looks likely that European fans will also get the opporunity to hear her perform live tracks from her critically acclaimed sophomore album, 'Mama's Gun'.

The US dates in full are:

'Bag Lady' enjoyed phenomenal success in the US, where it was released prior to the album and as a result was recently nominated for two Grammy Awards (Best Female R&B Vocal Performance' and 'Best R&B Song').
