The soul star heads for the week-long celebrations in Minneapolis...

The week-long celebration kicks off with a masquerade ball on June 11 and includes two gigs by Prince at the city's Xcel Center on June 15 and 16, where the set will include material from his new album 'The Rainbow Children' - which received an internet release through his own NPG Music Club.

Badu will perform on the Wednesday, June 13 at the Paisley Park studios soundstage. Other artists taking part include Common, Alicia Keys, The Time & The Fonky Baldheads.

Further artists are yet to be announced and there will be special events and aftershow parties held at Paisley Park. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
