Ethan Johns is set to release his as-yet-untitled, new album next year.

The LP is produced by Ryan Adams and will follow Johns' last album, 'If Not Now, Then When?', which was released in 2012. Johns is best known as a producer himself, having worked on albums by Kings Of Leon, The Vaccines and Laura Marling before embarking on a career as a solo artist.

The new album was recorded at Adams' Pax-Am studios in Los Angeles. Johns will be debuting tracks from the record at a run of UK dates over the coming weeks.

Of the shows Johns has said: "I'll be performing these shows solo as I have been throughout the year, except for the London date at Union Chapel, where a few friends will be joining me. I'm excited that I can finally start playing people some new songs off the next record." Scroll down to watch Johns play 'Among The Sugar Pines' from the new album.

Ethan Johns will play:

Brighton Komedia (September 17)
Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (18)
Bridport Electric Palace (19)
Selby Town Hall (21)
Leicester The Musician (23)
Sheffield The Leadmill (24)
Manchester Anthony Burgess Foundation (25)
Glasgow ABC2 (27)
Newcastle The Cluny 2 (28)
London Union Chapel (October 3)
