Example: 'Noel Gallagher had all the ideas in Oasis'
Rapper tips High Flying Birds man for Brits success
The rapper, who was talking to the Daily Star, said he hoped the High Flying Birds man won the Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist even though he had been nominated himself.
Comparing Noel to his brother, Liam Gallagher, he said:
When you hear Noel's album, and you heard the Beady Eye stuff, it's plain to see Noel was the talent, the songwriter. Liam is a star and an amazing frontman, but the ideas were all Noel's.
Last month (December 5), Example revealed that his new album will sound like a mixture of The Strokes, Skrillex and Chase and Status. The rapper told NME that he would be embracing a rockier direction for the follow-up to his third album 'Playing In The Shadows', which was released in September 2011.
Earlier this week, Example received Brit Award nominations for Best British Male Solo Artist and Best British Single for his track 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me'. Visit Brits.co.uk for the full list of nominees.
The Brit Awards will take place at London's O2 Arena on February 21. Blur will receive the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the 2012 event.
