Example has revealed that his new studio album will be titled 'The Evolution Of Man'.

The rapper previewed his new album with lead-off single 'Say Nothing' earlier this week, which you can hear at the bottom of the page.

Speaking yesterday (August 1) on BBC Radio 1 about the album, the rapper, whose real name is Elliot Gleave, said that the album was a personal one and was inspired by his decision to "stop behaving like a buffoon all the time".

"It's about me evolving personally and the stuff I've gone through in the past year; growing up, settling down," he said.

The rapper added that he wrote the album during a particularly prolific spell and had, in fact, already decided on the album title before his last record 'Playing In The Shadows' was released.

He added: "I went off the back of the last tour into writing this. Last year the album was out in August and we had four singles off the album. The week my last album came out I already had the song titles and album title for this next album."

Example has previously promised that 'The Evolution Of Man' is "going to be a rock album" and has named Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and The Strokes as key influences.

He told NME: "It's going to be a rock album but produced electronically - every track's got huge guitar riffs. I'm pretty much singing and trying to do impressions of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters."

Example has said that he will debut 'Say Nothing' and another new song 'Perfect Replacement' when he performs at V Festival on August 18 and 19.
