Example has married former Neighbours actress Erin McNaught at a ceremony in Australia.

The couple, who got engaged on Halloween last year (2012), tied the knot in front of a small group of friends and family at the Deux Belettes guesthouse in Ballina, near Brisbane, at around 2pm yesterday (May 18).

Earlier today, the rapper and singer, real name Elliot Gleave, tweeted a photo of himself with his new wife following the ceremony:

Last week, Example revealed to Capital FM that he planned to recite a poem written for his wife-to-be at the ceremony. He said: "I had one that was 17 minutes long, the whole speech, and I've whittled it down to about ten because I've been asking all mates who've got married, how long should it be."

He joked: "I don't want to ramble on for ages like I do with my radio interviews sometimes, so hopefully it all goes fine. I mean it's all about the best man's speech anyway."

Example is set to headline Rockness festival next month. The Scottish festival, which takes place at Loch Ness between June 9-7, has also confirmed appearances from The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mercury Music Prize nominee Jessie Ware, Ellie Goulding, Basement Jaxx, Madness, Ben Howard and Camera Obscura.
