OZ PEST FOR FAITHLESS

The UK dance stalwarts forced to stay home to let frontman Maxi recover from injuries sustained in a car accident...

Faithless have now withdrawn from their appearances at the BIG DAY OUT festivals in AUSTRALIA after group member MAXI fractured his pelvis.

As previously revealed on NME.COM, the group pulled out of their current UK tour after Maxi fractured his pelvis in a racing car accident.

It has now emerged that all Australian and South African shows that were due to take place in the New Year have also been pulled while Maxi recovers.

A statement issued by Big Day Out organisers confirms the group's no show at the event, and it is understood they are planning to find a replacement. Details will be announced shortly.

All Faithless dates are likely to be rescheduled for after March 2002, when Maxi should be back to full health.
