Faithless split with record label

Faithless have parted ways with their record label after four albums.

Sister Bliss has revealed that the dance outfit have split from label Cheeky, which is part of SonyBMG, to pursue other avenues.

The star admitted that the band want to be in control of their own material and to stop churning out hits for radio.

She added: "We've been masters of the DIY ethic. There's something about not being under the pressure of a big corporation and not having to fill their coffers."

The band have released three albums under the label plus a greatest hits collection.

Bliss also admitted that the band may be taking a leaf out of Ash's book by releasing single tracks instead of albums in the future, reports BBC 6 Music.
