Fall Out Boy set opening band competition

Fall Out Boy have set to competition for new bands to support them on their US tour.

The band are giving 19 unsigned acts the chance to have the opening slots at selected dates on their US Honda Civic Tour.

On Mylocalbands.com, groups are asked to submit their band name and Myspace page and other details.

The site says: “In a few days, everyone will be able to come here, check out all the bands’ Myspace pages, and vote on their favourite band.”

As previously reported, the band recently rescheduled dates of their North American tour "due to personal issues”.

The Honda Civic tour will now begin on May 11 in Denver Colorado and conclude on July 2 in Anaheim, California.
