Fall Out Boy slam Ashlee Simpson collaboration talk
Pete Wentz claims bandmate never worked with girlfriend
Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has denied the band collaborated with singer Ashlee Simpson on a track.
As previously reported Patrick Stump from the band had reportedly worked with Simpson, Wentz's rumoured girlfriend, on a track by Cobra Starship’s Victoria Asher.
However Wentz said: “The story isn’t true…someone got a bit off base in the communication. Ash didn’t work on it and neither did Patrick. I have no idea what the deal is, but they both told me they hadn't worked on it.”
Gabe Saporta from Cobra Starship said: “I think what happened is that she (Asher) didn’t want to leave anyone without credit. I really don’t know anything about (Stump) supposedly recording bass and drums on the song."
He told MTV News: "I also don't know if Ashlee helped her with the lyrics…I’m sure Victoria passed some stuff by her, but that’s all I know."
