Pete Wentz: 'I can't predict I'd ever play in Fall Out Boy again'

Bassist speaks about band being on a break

Pete Wentz: 'I can't predict I'd ever play in Fall Out Boy again'
Pete Wentz has said that he isn't confident he will ever play in Fall Out Boy again.

The band announced last November that they were going on haitus, with the bassist now casting doubt on whether he'll ever be a part of the rockers at all in the future.

Writing on his blog at Petewentz.com, he said that despite the doubt there was no bad blood between the Fall Out Boy members.

"Don't know the future of Fall Out Boy," he wrote. "As far as I know Fall Out Boy is on a break. As much as I don't have a solo project, I also can't predict that I'd ever play in Fall Out Boy again."

He added that his views were "not due to personal relationships as much as a band we grew apart. In this statement I'd like to include there is the possibility that FOB will play again without me or I will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page."

Responding to the message, frontman Patrick Stump told Spin.com that he did think the band would be back in one form or other in the future.

"I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now," he said. "But one way or another, the band will always be around in some form. Steven Tyler isn't in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith.

"Whether we play again or not, I don't know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don't, it will also be for the right reasons."
