Fatboy Slim Brighton beach party gets go-ahead
DJ to return for outdoor party for first time since 2002
Plans for Fatboy Slim to perform at a huge beach party in Brighton in September have been given the go-ahead.
The DJ will play at the Big Beach Boutique party, which is set to be held on September 26 and 27 on Madeira Drive, between the hours of 5pm GMT and 9:30pm GMT on each day, reports The Independent.
The party will be a ticket-only event, with local residents being offered the first chance to buy tickets. Organisers are yet to reveal further ticket details.
Fatboy Slim previously performed at a party on Brighton Beach in July 2002, to which an estimated 250,000 people turned up to – thousands more than the official capacity of the event. One man died of a heart attack and a woman died after a fall at the event.
The star also performed on the beach in January 2007.
