Fatboy Slim is set to be the first ever DJ to play the House of Commons.

The DJ will play a set at the terrace bar in the seat of the UK parliament in London on March 6 as part of an event put on by the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation.

The event is also part of the House The House charitable parliamentary initiative, which is supported by and Hove and Portslade MP Mike Weatherley. A competition winner will also DJ at the event. For more information, visit: Housethehouse.org.

House The House encourages 16 to 25-year-olds to become involved in community projects and raises awareness for community music projects. Of the initiative, MP Weatherley commented:

"House The House is giving young people the chance to have a voice, to be recognised for their endeavours and to engage with their communities to create change from the grassroots up. Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and House The House are great examples of what the whole music industry can achieve in an innovative way."

Fatboy Slim added: "I've played some exciting and unique places around the world from Bondi Beach to The Great Wall of China to Igloo but playing in the House of Commons might be the most unique to date."
