Feeder have been added to the bill of this year's Sonisphere festival.

The festival, headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park, takes place at Knebworth on August 1-2.

Other new acts on the bill include Frank Turner, Skindred and Taking Back Sunday.

Speaking of playing the legendary park, Feeder frontman Grant Nicholas said the gig would be the band's only festival appearance of the year.

He said: "It's great to be playing at Sonisphere. I saw some great bands play at Knebworth when I was younger. It is an amazing venue and has hosted some of the most amazing shows over the years.

"It will be our only UK festival appearance this year as we are busy working on the next Feeder album – so we will be rocking as hard as ever."

The full Sonisphere line up so far is:

Bullet For My Valentine
