FERGIE NIGHTS!
No, we won't suffer Prince Andrew's repellent ex-wife braying about cranberry juice between Cranberries tracks. This is DJ Fergie. Phew...
Fast-rising hard house DJ FERGIE is to join RADIO 1 as a 'resident DJ', which will include numerous appearances at RADIO 1 events throughout the year.
The 21-year-old DJ from Belfast will will host bi-monthly Essential Mixes on the station, as well as hosting 'Fergie TV' on Radio 1's website at www.bbc.co.uk/radio1.
Fergie's presence will include an appearance on Radio 1's Open Air Stage at Homelands on May 26, as well as a high-profile slot at the Radio 1 Love Parade on July 21.
"I'm delighted to offer Fergie this chance," commented Radio 1's Executive Dance Music Producer Matt Priest. "It is a great way for us to showcase his amazing talent and to get to know him better, a great addition to our incredible dance line-up."
Fergie's first appearance as a Radio 1 resident will be at the 'Essential Relief' evening at Home in London on March 16.
