First bands for Big Day Out 2007 announced

Muse and The Killers to play antipodean festival

Muse, The Killers, My Chemical Romance and Jet are among the first bands to be announced as part of the 2007 Big Day Out.

The 15th year of the annual antipodean festival – which travels around Australia and New Zealand in January – will also include Tool, Peaches, The Violent Femmes and The Sleepy Jackson, with more announcements expected soon.

Dates are as follows:

Auckland MT Smart Stadium (January 19)
Gold Coast Parklands (21)
Sydney Showgrounds (25)
Melbourne Princes Park South (28)
Adelaide Royal Showground (February 2)
Perth Claremont Showground (4)


Tickets will go onsale October 13.
