RAVE ON!
After five long days and nights, BENICASSIM 2004 finally came to an end in the early hours of this morning.

And the grand finale saw 2ManyDJs and James Murphy storm the town’s beach for a free all-night closing party.

The annual blowout, held just minutes away from the festival site, began at midnight on Monday (August 9) and gave the residents of Benicassim a taste of the Fib Heineken festival magic along with the 35,000 festival-goers.

The last regular day of the festival ended on Sunday night with Tim Burgess from The Charlatans joining old allies The Chemical Brothers onstage for a rendition of their collaboration ‘Life Is Sweet’.

But the Sunday headliners had to make do without their other big-name Mancunian collaborators Bernard Sumner and Noel Gallagher for ‘Out Of Control’ and ‘Setting Son’.

Also playing the festival’s final leg were The Dandy Warhols and Spiritualized, bringing the tenth anniversary of the Spanish festival to a celebratory climax. DJs from Output Records and electro star Tiga kept crowds dancing all through the night.
