THE STREETS GET AMPLIFED

For Morgan Nicholls, one good turn deserved another...

After saving one space-rock trio from disaster last weekend, THE STREETS bass player MORGAN NICHOLLS was rescued by another today (August 29).

Last weekend at the V Festival, Morgan heroically stepped into injured bass player Chris Wolstenholme’s shoes after learning the entire set in four days.

But today at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival, he realised that his bass had been left behind after the previous show in Leeds, plunging their Main Stage set into crisis.

Yet after his good turn to the UK’s premier epic rockers, the karma returned when the day was saved by the fastest rising one, when Neil Mahony from Amplifier stepped in and lent Morgan his bass for the show.

The Manchester trio play the Carling Stage today after winning fans all summer at festivals like Download and Germany’s Hurricane and Southside.

The Streets, meanwhile, thrilled the tired Reading crowd with their number one hit ‘Dry Your Eyes’.
