JAXX STEP INTO THE BREACH

BASEMENT JAXX paid tribute to stricken KYLIE MINOGUE as they stood in for her at GLASTONBURY tonight.


The dance duo stepped into the closing slot on the Pyramid Stage after the pop superstar was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.


And as a mark of respect they covered her biggest recent hit ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, the same song Coldplay covered on the same stage last night.


Their version began with a dense guitar refrain before opening out into a soulful vocal version.


The show, which opened with ‘Good Luck’, and included hits ‘Red Alert’, ‘Bingo Bango’ and ‘Where’s Your Head At?’, boasted a dazzling array of soul singers and a more organic, live sound than previous festival appearances.
