Camp Bestival will be a small, luxury holiday camp

Bestival have announced details of a brand new festival for 2008.

Camp Bestival will take place at Lulworth Castle in Dorset (July 18-20, 2008).

The 10,000 capacity bash will feature a variety of bizarre attractions alongside music, and will apparently combine the vibe of a 1950s holiday camp with an old time Glastonbury ethos.

Music has been chosen by Rob Da Bank, and stages set for the festival include the Tree Stage, the Balearic Bollywood Arena and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Tent.

Other attractions include a theatre in the woods and an insect circus, while films will be projected on the castle walls.

Organiser Rob Da Bank said: “It’s gonna be a big old family campsite with what we reckon will be the best facilities of any festival, from custom furnished tepees and yurts to campfires, maintained barbeques and a massive kids area.”

Tickets for Camp Bestival go on sale at 9am on November 5.
