Bristol to get new festival

Community bash takes place later this year

The city of Bristol is to get a new festival for 2008.

The Bristol Community Festival is to take place over the weekend of September 20-22 at various locations in the city, indoor and outdoor.

The bill has yet to be announced, but the focus will be on local artists, rather than bigger national names. As well as live music, there will street theatre, art, circus, dance, poetry and comedy by way of entertainment.

Ticket prices are to be kept to a minimum (estimated at around £5) so the event is accessible to everyone.
