The blockbuster's extended cut will feature an additional 13 minutes of previously unseen footage.
A new trailer for next month’s extended cut of Suicide Squad has been released.
Warner Bros. has already confirmed the extended cut will feature an additional 13 minutes of previously unseen footage.
Fans disappointed by the poorly-received blockbuster are speculating that the extended cut, which drops on digital HD on November 28 before getting a Blu-ray release on December 5, could feature more of Jared Leto’s Joker.
The new trailer certainly features plenty of Leto’s character, as well as even more of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn – watch below.
Though Leto’s character is a peripheral feature for much of the movie that played in cinemas over the summer, the actor has revealed that he shot lots of footage which director David Ayer and the film’s producers ultimately decided not to use.
“I understand [this Suicide Squad film] is a bit of an introduction to The Joker. It’s more of a supporting part than it could have been, had they used everything – but there’s a method to [the filmmakers’] madness,” he told NME in August.
One moviegoer was so frustrated by the lack of Jared Leto in the Suicide Squad theatrical release that he even threatened to sue Warner Bros. for false advertising.
Meanwhile, Robbie has revealed she isn’t a fan of Harley Quinn’s relationship with Leto’s Joker in the film.
