Aaron Paul on ‘Breaking Bad’ finale: ‘You guys are gonna shit your pants!’

The final eight episodes of the drugs drama begin airing in the US this August

Aaron Paul has predicted that the conclusion of Breaking Bad will provoke a strong reaction in fans of the show.

The acclaimed US TV series began in 2008 and follows the fortunes of Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher played by Bryan Cranston who begins producing and selling crystal meth after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. The final eight episodes are due to air on US network AMC this summer and autumn, beginning on August 11.

Paul, who co-stars as White’s partner in crime Jesse Pinkman, has spoken about his mixed feelings in saying goodbye to Breaking Bad in a new interview with Buzzsugar.

“Before I read the final eight episodes, the final eight hours of the show, I was thinking to myself, this is so tragic. I can’t believe this show is ending,” he said. “I didn’t want it to end, but after knowing how the final eight hours play out, I couldn’t be happier with the way that it ended.”

After admitting that he read most of the final eight scripts during plane journeys because he couldn’t wait until he was settled at home, Paul added: “I’m a huge fan of the show as well… You guys are gonna shit your pants!”

Although Breaking Bad is coming to an end, the show’s creator Vince Gilligan has confirmed that he is plotting a spin-off show focusing on Saul Goodman, the dodgy lawyer played by Bob Odenkirk. “We are talking about it. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I can tell you, for sure, that I would love to see that happen,” Gilligan said in April.
