An action-packed new clip from Iron Man 3 has been released. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch it.
The 30-second teaser sees Robert Downey Jr‘s Tony Stark deliver a “greeting” to The Mandarin, a new villain played by Ben Kingsley. “You’re not a man, you’re a coward,” Stark warns his enemy. “It’s just you and me.”
Iron Man 3 will be Downey Jr’s fourth outing as Stark, a billionaire inventor who creates a powered suit of armour and turns himself into a superhero. The actor previously played Stark in 2008’s Iron Man, 2010’s Iron Man 2 and last year’s The Avengers.
An official plot synopsis was released last October hyping up the rivalry between Stark and The Mandarin. It teases: “Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle.”
Iron Man 3, which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce, opens in UK cinemas on April 26 and arrives in the US on May 3. Meanwhile, a different version of the film featuring extra footage will be released in China, where shooting partly took place.
