Al Pacino hints at future role in Marvel movie

Legendary actor reveals he has had a meeting with Marvel's presiden Kevin Feige

Al Pacino has revealed that he has had a meeting with Marvel’s president, Kevin Feige, leading to speculation that he is about to take a role in one of the studio’s forthcoming films.

During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the legendary actor discussed how much he enjoyed Marvel’s recent Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, saying: “It was inventive, funny, strong in sound and music, the production of it, the ingenuity of it… I was really impressed.”

Pacino – who has eight Oscar nominations to his name – then disclosed that he has been for a meeting with Marvel’s president, saying: “I would imagine either there’s something he feels is right for me, or…” before his phone rang and left the sentence hanging.

“Every time we talk about Marvel, that’s what happens,” 74-year-old Pacino then joked.

Earlier this month (December) Benedict Cumberbatch signed up to star in Marvel’s forthcoming Doctor Strange movie, which is due to start shooting next May. Marvel’s next Captain America sequel, subtitled Civil War, is also set to begin filming in spring 2015.
