An ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Fortnite’ crossover has been announced

This sounds epic.

An Avengers: Infinity War and Fortnite crossover has been announced, and it sounds pretty damn exciting.

Since its release in July last year, Fortnite has attracted millions of worldwide players who do battle on a series of maps in a bid to become the last man standing.

Now, it’s been announced that Thanos will appear in the ‘Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup’ mode.

The game mode will see 100 players battling on a single map as per usual, but with the added bonus of the Infinity Gauntlet being added into the mix.

When found, the gauntlet will transform one lucky user into Thanos – presumably bestowing them with the power of turning enemies into dust.

The colloboration comes after Avengers: Infinity War writers Joe and Anthony Russo joined forces with Fortnite creative director Donald Mustard.

“Over the past few months, while we were editing Infinity War, we’d take breaks to hop on and get in a few games. And then we started thinking, how cool would it be to have some kind of AvengersFortnite mashup? So we stalked Donald”, the pair told Entertainment Weekly.

“It was really important that whatever we did, it had to be super authentic to both Fortnite and the Avengers: Infinity War, and something that fans of both would be excited about. About an hour later, we had the bones of this awesome idea for a limited time gameplay mode, and almost immediately our team got started.”

Meanwhile, Drake recently revealed himself to be a huge Fortnite fan – and even teamed up with streamer Ninja to play the game.
