The film is called 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' and is said to tell "a European story"
Bill Murray and Angela Lansbury are set to appear in The Grand Budapest Hotel, the next film from Wes Anderson.
Murray has become something of a Wes Anderson staple, having appeared in six previous movies by the cult filmmaker, including Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums and this year’s Moonrise Kingdom.
In a new interview with Vulture, Murray confirmed that the pair are planning to renew their collaboration. He said: “I’m about to go shoot a movie with Wes Anderson in Germany. If you see me in Germany, I’ll be working on a movie.”
Murder, She Wrote legend Angela Lansbury has never worked with Anderson before, but told The Gentlewoman that she has also signed up. Discussing her involvement in the project, she said: “I’m playing woman of mystery, it’s a minuscule role. I’m on the screen probably for less than five minutes.”
Back in July (2012), it was reported that Johnny Depp had been cast as the film’s lead. Anderson’s films are known for their strong ensemble casts and Jude Law, Edward Norton and Owen Wilson are also expected to feature in The Grand Budapest Hotel.Plot details are being kept under wraps, but rather cryptically, the film is said to tell “a European story”.
