The currently untitled film is said to have a similar tone to 'Almost Famous' and 'Jerry Maguire'
Bradley Cooper is set to star in the next film from writer-director Cameron Crowe.
The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone is already signed up for the movie, which does not have a title yet. According to Deadline, Cooper has yet to join her officially, but is expected to ink a contract shortly.
Plot details are under wraps, but the film is said to be “a two-hander with a tone reminiscent of past Crowe films Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire“. Crowe’s more recent efforts include We Built A Zoo, a family drama starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, and last year’s Pearl Jam Twenty rockumentary.
Cooper will next be seen in Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy-drama co-starring Jennifer Lawrence that is considered a strong Oscar contender. The film opens in cinemas later this month (November 2012) and you can watch the trailer below. Meanwhile, Cooper is currently shooting The Hangover Part III, due for release next May (2013).
Stone will next be seen alongside Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn in LA crime thriller Gangster Squad, which opens next January (2013). The actress is now in talks to reprise her role as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, scheduled for release in May 2014.
