'We're just selling the film now,' Willis tells interviewer, 'the fun part was making the movie'
Bruce Willis has maintained his reputation as a tricky customer for journalists with yet another excruciating interview. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch his awkward clash with Magic 105.4‘s entertainment reporter Jamie Edwards.
Willis is joined by his Red 2 co-star Mary-Louise Parker for the interview, which was uploaded to YouTube yesterday (July 23), but the actress is unable to salvage the encounter.
Early on, Willis says to the interviewer: “Has any actor ever told you this Jamie? This part is not acting, what we’re doing right now. You might be but we’re just selling the film now. Sales. The fun part was making the movie.”
Later, when Edwards asks Willis about driving, a follow-on from a question to Parker about the film’s car chase scene, the actor replies: “I’m thinking about driving right now. I can hardly keep my mind on this interview. I’m thinking about driving somewhere, maybe the M1?”
At the end of the interview, Willis tells the reporter sarcastically, “you have some great questions here Jamie,” before adding witheringly: “Great chat.”
Willis and Parker are joined in Red 2, the sequel to 2010’s golden oldies hit Red, by Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The film opens in cinemas on August 2.
