Cara Delevingne has hit back at bad Suicide Squad reviews, saying she doesn’t think critics “like superhero movies”.

The actress plays the character June Moone in the movie, alongside the likes of Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie.

The film currently has a score of 26 percent on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, leading to a fan petition for the site to be shut down.

Speaking at the London premiere of the movie, Delevingne told Reuters: “They’re really, really horrible. You know, I just don’t think they like superhero movies.”

She added that “this movie isn’t perfect” and that the cast and crew didn’t make the film for critics. “It doesn’t really matter what the critics say at the end of the day, it’s the fans that we made this movie for,” she said.
