Chance The Rapper has signed up to star in Slice, a forthcoming film about a murdered pizza delivery driver.
Slice is the debut feature film from writer-director Austin Vesely. The film’s IMDB page lists its plot synopsis as follows: “When a pizza delivery driver is murdered on the job, the city searches for someone to blame: ghosts? drug dealers? a disgraced werewolf?”
Chance The Rapper’s casting was announced earlier today (June 26) on the film’s Instagram account, @slice, with the rapper being billed under his birth name, Chance Bennett. He will also serve as a producer on the film alongside Vesely. Further casting has yet to be announced.
Chance The Rapper previously starred in a short film called Mr Happy, released earlier this year (2015), in which he played a character struggling with depression and feelings of being trapped in his dead end job.
