Cheryl Cole to appear in ‘The Hangover 3’?

Star Zach Galifianakis says the singer could make a cameo appearance, but nothing is official yet

Cheryl Cole is apparently being lined up for a small role in The Hangover Part III.

Star Zach Galifianakis fuelled the rumours during an interview in FHM, saying: “I have heard the rumours about her making a cameo and there seems to be something to them. But I don’t know if anything’s signed yet.”

Cole’s movie experience to date is limited. She appeared briefly as herself in What To Expect When You’re Expecting, a Cameron Diaz rom-com released earlier this year, and featured with Girls Aloud in the 2007 St Trinian’s movie.

Meanwhile, filming on the The Hangover Part III has been underway since September. Exact plot details are under wraps, but the set-up is described as follows: “This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.”

Director Todd Phillips has previously confirmed that this will be the final film in the record-breaking comedy series, promising a “fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions”.

Alongside Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha will all reprise their roles from the first two films, while boxer Mike Tyson is confirmed for another cameo. Ken Jeong, making his third appearance as Mr Chow, is said to have a “significantly expanded” part.

Released in 2009, The Hangover became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever and won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The 2011 sequel, The Hangover Part II, was even more successful at the box office, taking over $580 million (£375 million) worldwide.
