Berry appeared in the first three X-Men films as Storm, a mutant with the ability to manipulate the weather, before the trilogy was rebooted with a brand new cast for 2011’s X Men: First Class.

However, director Singer is now uniting X-Men stars old and new for the next instalment, Days Of Future Past, which is due to begin shooting next month (April). Last November, he announced that the film has roles for X-Men veterans Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as well as First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine also has a confirmed role and Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore are officially on board as well. Meanwhile, Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage is a brand new addition to the cast and will play the film’s main villain.

Award-winning French actor Omar Sy has recently signed on too, though his role in the film is currently unknown. X-Men: Days Of Future Past is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 18 2014.
