'Hangover' actor will star alongside Patrick Wilson in director Joe Carnahan's next movie

Ed Helms has joined the cast of Stretch, it has been confirmed.

It was earlier reported by Variety that the Hangover actor was set to join Patrick Wilson, known for his role as Lynch in The A-Team, and Chris Pine (Star Trek) on the cast of Joe Carnahan’s (Smokin’ Aces latest movie.

Carnahan confirmed the appointment of Helms yesterday (June 10) by posting a photo on Twitter of Helms, Wilson and Pine together in a restaurant. The caption read: “The boys of ‘STRETCH’ minus one more big addition…”

Stretch tells the story of Patrick Wilson’s character, a down-on-his-luck chauffer, who is in desperate need of a cash injection. He thinks his chance comes when he becomes employed by a mysterious billionaire, but things soon go wrong and he finds himself on the car journey from hell.

Meanwhile, Ed Helms can currently be seen on cinema screens in The Hangover: Part III. The final film in the comedy trilogy sees Wolfpack regulars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha return for one last adventure. Heather Graham, Melissa McCarthy, Ken Jeong and John Goodman also star. Todd Phillips, director of the first two Hangover movies, returned to complete his trilogy.
