Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton have been cast in Finding Dory, the upcoming sequel to Finding Nemo.
American Pie actor Levy and Keaton will play the long-lost parents of the title character. It was revealed by Disney/Pixar at D23 Expo in Los Angeles on Friday (August 9), and confirmed by Finding Dory Ellen DeGeneres on Twitter. She tweeted:
Diane Keaton & Eugene Levy are gonna play my parents in Finding Dory! This is great. I can’t wait for Take Your Daughter to Work Day.

Also confirmed to appear in the film is Albert Brooks, who will reprise his role of Marlin from Finding Nemo. The confirmation comes after it was rumoured Brooks had signed up to return alongside DeGeneres.
Pixar has given Finding Dory a release date of November 25, 2015 – over 12 years since Finding Nemo came out. The sequel is set about a year after the original film and Nemo, Marlin and the Tank Gang will all return alongside a shoal of new characters.
Released in May 2003, Finding Nemo grossed over $878 million (£562 million) at the box office worldwide and won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Plans for a sequel first emerged last summer (2012).
