Reboot from 'Chronicle' director Josh Trank is set for release on August 7
The first trailer for the new Fantastic Four movie has been released by 20th Century Fox.
The Fantastic Four reboot stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm aka Invisible Girl, Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Toby Kebbell will appear as supervillain Dr Doom.
Chronicle director Josh Trank is behind the camera, shooting from a script by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days Of Future Past) and up-and-coming screenwriter Jeremy Slater. The film is set to open in cinemas on August 7 this year. An official plot synopsis was released last month (December).
Meanwhile, Trank has recently revealed that composer Philip Glass is scoring the film alongside fellow composer Marco Beltrami.
Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four superhero crew previously appeared on the big screen in a low-budget 1994 film titled The Fantastic Four and in a glossier 2005 offering starring Chris Evans and Jessica Alba called Fantastic Four, which spawned a sequel that arrived two years later, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
