First trailer for Ridley Scott’s ‘The Counsellor’ starring Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt – watch

Fassbender stars as a lawyer who gets involved in drug trafficking and ends up in too deep

The first full trailer for Ridley Scott‘s The Counsellor has been released following a brief teaser in June.

The eagerly-anticipated thriller stars Michael Fassbender as a lawyer who gets involved in drug trafficking and ends up in too deep. “Have you been bad?” asks Penelope Cruz, who plays his girlfriend, at the end of the trailer, which you can watch at the bottom of this article.

The Counsellor‘s stellar cast also includes Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, John Leguizamo and Game Of Thrones‘s Natalie Dormer. The script was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Cormac McCarthy (The Road, No Country For Old Men). It’s McCarthy’s first film screenplay to make it into production.

Ridley Scott shot the film in London last summer and autumn, halting production briefly when his brother Tony Scott jumped to his death on August 19, 2012. The Counsellor will be dedicated to the memory of Tony Scott, and opens in US cinemas on October 25 before getting a UK release on November 15.
