‘Game Of Thrones’ star Natalie Dormer joins cast of ‘The Hunger Games’

She'll play Cressida in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 and 2'

Game Of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer has joined the cast of The Hunger Games.

She’ll play Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, it was announced yesterday (August 22) on the franchise’s official Twitter feed.

Suzanne Collins’ third and final Hunger Games novel, Mockingjay, is being split into two separate films, which are set for release in November 2014 and November 2015. Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell on Game Of Thrones, will appear alongside returning cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, as well as possible new addition Julianne Moore, who is reportedly wanted for the role of scheming leader President Alma Coin.

In the meantime, the franchise’s second instalment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will open in UK cinemas on November 22 of this year (2013). It’s recently been announced that the film’s premiere will take place in London on November 11 and you can watch the trailer below.
