Lena Dunham's acclaimed HBO comedy is set to return in the early part of next year (2014)
A teaser video for season three of Girls has been uploaded to HBO’s YouTube channel. Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch it.
The 30-second clip features of a series of Instagram-style snapshots from the shooting of the new season, which appears to include at least one episode set at the beach.
Lena Dunham‘s Hannah, Allison Williams’ Marnie, Jemima Kirke’s Jessa and Zozia Mamet’s Shoshanna can all be glimpsed in the photos – as can their male co-stars Adam Driver (Adam) and Andrew Rannells (Elijah).
However, the teaser gives next to nothing away in terms of potential plot lines for the new season, which will comprise 12 half-hour episodes – two more than in previous seasons.
Season three of Girls is set to premiere on HBO in early 2014. Created, directed and written by Dunham, the show has been a major hit since it debuted last year (2012) and took home two prizes at this January’s Golden Globe Awards: ‘Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical’ and ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series’ – Comedy or Musical’ for Dunham.
