Plot details are being kept secret, but the sequel is believed to involve a return to Vegas
Heather Graham is to return for The Hangover Part III, according to Variety.
In the original 2009 Hangover film, Graham plays Jade, a Las Vegas stripper who weds Ed Helms‘s character, Stu. However, the actress does not appear in 2011’s The Hangover Part II, which was set in Thailand.
Plot details for The Hangover Part III are being kept secret, but the sequel is believed to involve a return to the Las Vegas setting of the original. Director Todd Phillips has previously confirmed that it will be the final film in the series, promising a “fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions”.
The Hangover Part III is scheduled to begin filming next month (September 2012) for release in May 2013. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis will all reprise their roles from the first two films, while boxer Mike Tyson is confirmed for another cameo. Last month (July), it was revealed that Ken Jeong will return as Mr Chow and have a “significantly expanded role”.
Released in 2009, The Hangover became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever and won a Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The 2011 sequel, The Hangover Part II, was even more successful at the box office, taking over $580 million (£375 million) worldwide.
