Here’s the thrilling first trailer for ‘Mission Impossible: Fallout’

Ethan Hunt is back...

The first trailer for Mission Impossible: Fallout has debuted, and it looks set to be one of the most exhilarating entries in the iconic franchise.

The sixth instalment sees Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt facing the consequences of his time with the IMF – including the re-emergence of his little-seen family and a clash with some of his closest aides.

But he’s still putting himself in the way of extreme danger – with the trailer showing a series of sequences in which he appears to be hanging out of a helicopter as well as jumping across iconic London buildings (the same stunt that caused him to break his ankle).

However, it’s the end of the trailer that provides the biggest thrill as Cruise faces a head on collision with a truck before the screen cuts to black.

Cruise’s return comes alongside that of Simon Pegg as IMF technician Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust and Ving Rhames as IMF boss Luther Stickell.

In January, a key stunt for the film was shot on location in London.

Traffic was halted as Cruise ran across the top of Blackfriars railway bridge, while a helicopter filmed him from above.

It is due for release in cinemas on July 27 2018.
