"Darling Margot, all the love to you".
The cast of Neighbours teamed up over the weekend to offer a heartfelt good luck to Margot Robbie before the Oscars.
Robbie, who was nominated for her turn in I, Tonya first found fame on the Australian soap, where she played Donna Freedman between 2008-2011.
And as she found herself within touching distance of Oscars glory, her former cast mates were on hand to provide some all important support.
“Darling Margot, all the love to you from everyone at Neighbours”, actor Alan Fletcher affirms in the clip.
I, Tonya was released in UK cinemas last month – and saw NME hailing it as Robbie’s greatest performance to date, in the role of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding.
“As Harding, Margot Robbie finds a part that’s finally a match for her talents”, our official verdict stated.
“For years she’s been an excellent lead in so-so movies – matching Will Smith’s star-power in Focus; the only person to make a positive impact in Suicide Squad – or sterling, brief support in better ones – as Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in The Wolf of Wall Street; explaining finance in a bubble bath in The Big Short.
“Now she gets to chew on a lead that demands a lot of her both comically and dramatically.”
